rohit cropdRohit Kumar, the founder of Sanatana Yog Sandesh holds an M.A., LL.B., and has been a Yoga practitioner for many years. His years of disciplined, regular and continuous practices of the various disciplines of Yoga has conferred upon him good insight into the theory as well as practical aspects of different branches of Yoga. He has been to many ashramshills and plains for the sake of learning the philosophies and practices of Yogic disciplines. His credentials in the field of the propogation of Yoga are honored phenomenon.

Born on 2nd of November, Rohit Kumar, during his Law education underwent some overwhelming inspirations as a result of which he felt drawn deeply to Yoga philosophy and its practical aspects. In pursuance of those inspirations he spent precious time with so many masters in different parts of North India as well as in Nepal. Swami Santosananda, who then lived near Varaha Kshetra, Nepal, introduced him to the techniques of Swara Yoga. He is fortunate to have seen and listened to some great personalities of these times; Viz: Swami Swatantradev, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, Swami Adagadananda, Swami Niranjananda Saraswati and Swami Yogaswaroopananda etc. The vision of these great masters proved to him true the scriptural declaration of Great Shankaracharya who writes in the Mohamudgar: “A moment’s association with a great master is a boat in the ocean of mundane existence”.
By the whim of the universe Vasilis Chatzinikolaou a young Greek man came across him and inspired him to serve people around the world with little knowledge regarding different branches of Yoga he has. This meeting with Vasilis became a turning point in his life. At the moment Rohit Kumar is constantly under the sound guidance of Sadhaka Naresh Ji who is one of the disciples of a great Yogi Baba Shantananda. Baba Shantananda preached his spiritual knowledge for 12 years as per the divine command and is now leading a secluded life in the Himalayas.

Rohit says about himself:

“I am but a Yoga practitioner only and never a teacher. I serve without reserve my experiences of the practices up to my level”.

He puts the above-mentioned transition into his life and his experiences of Yoga into three heads:

(1) Inspiration: 

The trinity of Ramakrishna, Maa Sharada and Swami Vivekananda left a deep inspiration in him to undergo the disciplines of Yoga.

“Meditate on God either in an unknown corner, or in the solitude of forests, or within your own mind”.

sardaMaa SharadaShe whispers into every desirous ears the holy names of God which is the sure way to cross the ocean of mundane existence. Of all Her sayings this is the most inspiring to him:

“I tell you one thing – if you want peace, do not find fault with others. Rather see your own faults. Learn to make the whole world your own. No one is a stranger, my child; the whole world is your own”.

vivakanandSwami VivekanandaOne can’t remain without feeling electric shock into his/her veins when the words of this mighty  genius are read and heard. How clear and cosmopolitan Rohit Kumar finds his these words:
 
“Each soul is potentially divine. The goal is to manifest this divinity by  controlling nature, external and internal. Do this either by work, or worship, or  psychic control, or philosophy – by one, or more, or all of these – and be free. This  is the whole of religion. Doctrines, or dogmas, or rituals, or books, or temples, or forms, are but secondary details”.

(2) Function:
satyanandaRohit Kumar owes to Swami Satyananda Saraswati whose rare lectures at Rikhiapeeth, Jharkhand which he had in person attended opened his eyes regarding the role he has to play in this world. His words are practically the greatest Rohit Kumar has ever found and experienced. These are a few:

“Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion. It is the most valuable inheritance of the present. It is the essential need of today and the culture of tomorrow”.  

“Whatever may seem to bind or limit you, declare yourself free from it now. There is nothing in the outer world, no person, no condition and no circumstance that can take away the freedom which is yours in spirit. Instead of wishing that you were free to live your life differently accept the truth that right now you are free, free to change your thinking, free to change your outlook on life, free to be all that you long to be. Make this a day of freedom, spiritual freedom. Declare yourself free from anxiety and fear,  free from any belief in luck or limitation”.

(3) Strength: 
Baba-shantanandaBaba Shantananda: And providing him with sufficient strength, seriousness, patience, belief in himself, clarity in ideas and blessings for sure success in life Rohit Kumar owes to Baba Shantananda whose grand disciple Naresh Ji himself introduced him into the teachings of Baba Shantananda. Equipped with these he has been able to turn over a new leaf in the field of Yoga. His some of the practically greatest sayings are much sight-giving:
“Proper use of the five elements and balanced enjoyment of all the senses bestow health and peace”.
“Sahaj (easy) and Saral (simple) is near to the truth”.
